Vincentia Golf Precinct – community information
The future of the Vincentia Golf Precinct is an important local issue for many residents, golfers, neighbours and visitors. The Vincentia Community Forum is independent of the Jervis Bay Community & Sports Club (JBCSC) and the former Working Group, and we share updates to support the community’s interest in retaining this important recreational green space and understanding how its future is progressing.
Jervis Bay Community & Sports Club (JBCSC)
JBCSC is an independent, community-driven organisation leading the formal de-amalgamation process for Vincentia Golf Club. Their long-term aim is to return the course to local stewardship and support its evolution into a community-run multi-sport, recreation, training and hospitality hub, while protecting the bushland and natural character valued by Vincentia residents.
About the de-amalgamation process
Vincentia Golf Club has been part of the St Georges Basin Country Club for many years. In 2025, local members began exploring de-amalgamation to restore community control over the course and its future. JBCSC was formed to lead that process, including governance, planning and negotiations required under NSW legislation.
The proposal centres on three priorities:
- Community stewardship — ensuring the golf course and facilities are managed locally for community benefit.
- Future use planning — developing a vision for a multi-sport, recreation and training precinct that complements existing golf activities.
- Environmental protection — safeguarding the bushland areas that form part of Vincentia’s natural identity.

VCF supports community-led efforts that strengthen local recreation, protect natural assets and ensure transparent communication with residents. We share relevant updates to help the community stay informed about the future of the precinct, while JBCSC remains the primary source for detailed information about the de-amalgamation process
